Car show fund raiser??

Just wondering if there is going to be any fund raising for the track for leagal fees? I live east of flint but I could bring a car or 2 over there! After all we need this track open to see who has the fastest 70 camaro :mrgreen:

I might have to borrow Danks little motor for this race.

Its been proven very difficult to make any sort of profit off a car show..
We have had two at the track, the first one was HUGE and still after paying for the awards, DJ, and other stuff there just wasn't anythiing left over.
The second show was a serious bust due to the weather, I'm not sure how far Dan went in the hole after that one but I know it was very costly for him...

It would be hard for me to ask anyone to pay to attend a show and not at least have a chance at winning a nice award. Even with getting a ton of stuff donated for door prizes you have to consider the fuel and time costs running around the country side begging for these donations....

I know I for one could care less about a throphy or award, why not organize one that is more of a gathering of those that wish to support the track, where donations are accepted for a legal fund, I know I would gladly contribute, and know that there are many others willing to as well.

But that said some type of media be it car shows or even this site needs to be developed so that those that wish to help out can contribute.

If you can find a way to accept donations I would be more then happy to help distribute the info at car shows and cruise inns as well as donate to the cause.

Ever thought about Save a Tree, Support your local dragstrip t - shirts and bumper stickers might be a good source of money for the track

Who needs useless awards? We have race cars not show cars! What we need is a track to race at! Ask for donations I'd be happy to give. We don't need a DJ to listen to I'd rather talk about cars and racing. Have a grill and cold pop to sell also 50/50 drawings.

I just hope there is still a chance for this to happen. It would be a shame not to race on this new/old track.

I hear you guys and you all have great ideas but for now we cant do anything at the track.....Hopefully that will change soon....
