Well, if you think about it and watch what is going on in our world today, politicians are politicians whether at the local level or at the federal level, they do everything they can to stifle the economy not grow it. I'm certainly not bashing anyone here but that's the trend.
This is no different, with the track not open the racers along with their business goes elsewhere benefiting other communities. There are several tracks around the state and one in particular comes to mind. The community welcomes the business, the only thing they ask is it be shut down at a decent hour and on Sunday morning they ask that racing be withheld until after Sunday services in the community. That's it. Other than that the local businesses welcome the racers and their MONEY to the area.
It seems to me they would WANT the draw AND maybe some folks would relocate closer to the track bringing revenue from purchases, taxes etc. often overlooked by the tunnel vision of a few people.
Move Over People Are Racing
